Falling down shoulder length hair worn newly
To knowing sherpa shoulders
before crumbling saltine-like down into
The Gummy Core
soft
and a pool
catching autumn’s leave’s parting wisdoms
The body calls bingo
All parts coming into one
Bell ringing cells under the skin
on a Sunday
The same day when American middle linebackers
collide and crush one another
And the body tug’s the bell’s tassel
Feeling enters like a barfly
poking at our eggy resolve
Sitting in the duct taped vinyl swivel chair
and spinning anew, for the umpteenth time
The heart
hangs like a lumpy duvet
awaiting form to fill it
And in times of made beds
it stands ready to be made
a mess again
